Using the Just One Look Method
John,
I have been reading your book and listening to your recorded voice online for several weeks now. Thank you so much!
I feel very grateful to have found you.
I would like to ask you a question regarding my practice. I hope it is possible for your to give me answer.
As I attempt to "look at myself" as you suggest, I am aware of something that does not come and go, something that is permanent and unchanging. It is a kind of self-aware knowingness. It does not appear to have any characteristics or qualities. It is very subtle and ordinary and it has been there always even as a child.
Is this what you mean for me to notice?
My noticing does not change it. Nothing dramatic happens as I am noticing, no revelation or "ah ah" or anything that confirms to me that this is what I am to look at. Thus I begin to doubt that I am doing this correctly.
Can you help me with this?
Thank you so much.

Please keep in touch as this unfolds for you.
